Hey everyone! My husband and I just brought home our brand new Golden Retriever puppy. He is almost 8 weeks old, the breeder began giving them dry puppy food at 5 weeks old, and went through a few different brands before she found one that they all liked and ate. She showed me what that one was, and I bought it for him. (Purina puppy chow complete) But we’ve had him now almost 3 weeks and he doesn’t eat that, I bought two other based on her recommendations, and he doesn’t touch those either, the only way I get him to eat, is by cutting up some cooked unseasoned turkey and mixing it in with his food. Any advice would be helpful. Talked to the vet and he said to just make sure he was at least eating 4 times a day even if I have to supplement his meals with some turkey or other treats. The other thing is, he tries to eat my cat’s food. He makes a B line for it as soon as I set his bowl down. And it gives him diarrhea, are there any puppy food brands that are similar to cat food? I have tried giving him wet food mixed with dry food but it gives him diarrhea so I stopped. First time dog owner here, and I want to make sure my golden boy is eating and getting all the nutrients he needs! Thank you! via /r/puppies https://ift.tt/2YIXxQX
